DJIBOUTI, (RBC Radio) Â Somali interim president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has started a new tour in Asian countries searching Arab leaders support to his weak government, RBC Radio reports.
Sheikh Sharif who recently came back his first trip to United States has begun a new visit to some of the Asian countries as he left the neighboring Djibouti on Sunday night.
Hassan Moalim, the sate minister of the TFG spoke to Djibouti’s RTD said that the president will begin his visit from Kuwait, where he is intending to meet Kuwait government officials and discuss the political and security situation in Somalia.
The president will also visit other states including UAE where the Somali government will present a new program to find possible ways of support from the Arab states.
The UN backed transitional federal government of Somalia is now struggling against rebel Islamists who are trying to overthrow. Hundreds of civilians have killed n recent clashes between the government forces and the rebels in the cap[ital Mogadishu.
Somalia’s prime ministers is also currently visiting UK where he had diplomatic invitation from UK.
