AUBURN, Maine — An elderly Somali immigrant is recovering from injuries suffered when he was attacked outside his Auburn home.Ahmed Guled, 73, suffered stab wounds to his back and side and other injuries in the Thursday attack.Guled said he was attacked by a young Somali and four white Americans he did not know.
It could have been due to a dispute over a car deal.The president of the African Immigrants Association, Said Mohamud, said it’s important the community know what happened to an elderly person.Auburn Police Chief Phil Crowell said police are investigating.Guled remained hospitalized until Monday.
