Iran offers $25m aid to draught-hit Somalia

Iranian government has pledged to send $25 million humanitarian aid including foodstuffs and medicines to the draught-hit Somalia following the guidelines of Iranian Supreme Leader Sayyed Ali Khamenei.

Iranian cabinet members have decided to allocate 1/3 of their monthly wages to the famine hit people of Somalia in holy month of Ramadan.

Iranian government asked the nation to help the famine-stricken people of Somalia as well.

Iranian Foreign Ministry has suggested the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) to hold meetings to assisst the people of Somalia and send aid shipment of all Islamic nations and governments to people of the African country suffering malnutrition.
