Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will travel to Somalia on August 19.

In a statement released on its web site, the Turkish Prime Ministry Press Center said that Erdogan would pay a one-day visit to drought and famine stricken Somalia on August 19.

Erdogan will meet Somali President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and visit camps. Erdogan will also visit the refugee camp established by the Turkish Red Crescent Aid Society and inaugurate a field hospital erected by the Turkish Ministry of Health, said the Prime Ministry.
