Tense rises in Dhosomareb town in central Somalia
DHUSOMAREB – Tense between the Islamist clerics of Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a and Al-shabab fighters has resin in Dhusomareb, the centre of Galgudud region in central Somalia on Sunday according to reliable sources in the town.
Sources said that Al-shabab attacked the town yesterday and reportedly seized Dhusomareb town from hands of Ahlu Sunn for hours before Ahlu Sunna retook the control of the town in central Somalia.
Witnesses said that 6 warriors were killed in a confrontation between the two sides while more other wounded people rushed to hospital in Abudwaq district in the same region.
Locals in the town said that Al-shabab fighters who reached at the town looted more stores of weapons and centers of Ahlu Sunna Waljama’a during the hours they managed the town adding that there was a tense between the sides saying fighting was inevitable.
More of Ahlu Sunna clerics conducted operations in the town and areas around it to tighten whole security of the town and fight against Al-shabab fighters who are in parts of the region.
Witnesses said that the forces of Al-shabab also entered to the centre of radio station in the town and took the instruments of the radio while they also took more materials of the aid agencies operating there recently.
