SOMALIA: President heading to Turkey for State Visit
A delegation lead by the President of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is heading today to Turkey for a State Visit.
The delegations consist of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Foreign Affairs Ms. Fowsiyo Yussuf Haji Adan, Defence Minister Abdi -Hakim Mohamoud Haji Fiqi, and Finance Minister Mohamoud Hassan Suleiman and senior advisers.
The President stated “we are going to Turkey to strengthen our bilateral relations and discuss many important issues, such as military and Security, diplomatic, technical and economic development which will deepen the relations between our two countries”.
The President and his delegation in their State Visit are scheduled to meet with the President of Turkey H.E Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister H.E Recep Tayip Erdogan and other high ranking Turkish Government Officials. In addition, President Hassan will meet the Somali community in Turkey.
