Police Look For Men Involved In Bat Assault
A St. Paul man is in jail after he was charged with beating a man with a baseball bat inside a convenience store last week
Ahmed Hirsi, 21, turned himself in to police Thursday night, but officers are still looking for at least four other men who were with him the night of the beating.
Officers have surveillance photos from last Tuesday inside the SuperAmerica on East 7th Street in St. Paul.
Witnesses said the assault was unprovoked and that bats started flying through the air.
The victim had serious head injuries, but has since been released from the hospital.
St. Paul Police said to contact them if any of the men in the photo look familiar.
Hirsi will make a first appearance in Ramsey County District Court on Monday.
