Bartamaha (Balad-hawo):- Ibrahim Handule, 45, was gunned down  tonight at a border crossroad in the north eastern kenyan  town of Mandera , less than 20 meters into kenya , he was killed when four armed unidentified men who were waiting  attacked him . Mr Handule  sustained two bullet wounds and died on the spot. His body was shifted to the Mandera General hospital.

The deceased used to work  with the organisation Gedo peace consortuim which operates along the cross cutting peace initaitive network, which hamonises local communities in the tri angle area of kenya,Somalia and Ethiopia.

According to eye witnesses  in Bullo Hawo district quoted by Africafox, Ibrahim Handule was killed while crossing at a border crossroad in the kenyan- Somali frontier , around evening.

No knows whether he had any threatening message against him but  It is possible that Alshabab terror organization, affiliated with Al Qaeda was responsible for the killing.
