[ SCROLL DOWN TO VIEW THE LETTER ]RBC Radio has obtained a copy of  an agreement between the office of Somali president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed and the owner of Hiiraan online news website (www.hiiraan.com ), which is to aim that hiiraan.com should fulfil and be part of Sheikh Sharif’s communication team while not publishing anything against Sheikh Sharif.

As mentioned the agreement was signed on 1^stFebruary 2010 by Somali President Shiikh Shariif and its main purpose is the owner of Hiiraan online, Mr Gure will work and contribute the creation of a media team (communication team) which should implement a so-called project from Sheikh Sharif to the Somali Diaspora community.

This means that Ahmed Gure of Hiiraan.com will be responsible for publishing and distributing the special political interests of the president to the Diaspora community through his media service and to promote only the current TFG and become its mouthpiece.

It is usual that a website to charge an advertisement for profit or commercial company post their products on a newspaper or website, but this is a new low for Hiiraan.com.

Last month a Somali presidential candidate who was launching his campaign asked Hiiraan.com to post his video of the nomination and the question Hiiraan gave this candidate was “We don’t want to post any news that is against Sheikh Sharif”.

The question everyone is asking is how long will the Somali  people rely on any news or information from a media like Hiiran Online!.
