Mogadishu,March 30,2011(SONNA) A special session attended by the new Transitional Federal Government of Somalia Cabinet where new heads of the military and the Somali police were named.

The function was chaired by the Somali Prime Minister H.E Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed where Mr. Abdikadir Sheikh Ali Dinni was named as the Chief of Staff the Somali Army Whereas Sharif Shiikhuna Maye named as the Police Commissioner.

Soon the Cabinet will appoint the heads of other security agencies.

The naming of the commanders comes in the wake of deadly government operations that has seen the extremists loose more grounds in the capital, Mogadishu.
