Former warlord is supporting Somali government
One of former warlords in city of Mogadishu, Shiikh Yuusuf Mohamed also known as “Indha-Cadde†has switched to support to the weak Somali government.
It is believed that he has provided both soldiers and military support to protect the offices of president and prime minister. Locals have seen more then dozen “technicals†vehicles with heavy machine gun mounted and number of heavily armed men taking up strategic positions.
Indha-Cadde was key player in helping drive Ethiopian military out of Mogadishu. He is normally associated with Hizbul Islam. He has been in talks with weak government and decided to align with them.

Indha-Cadde is strategic player at local politics and could be signal change of fortune for Somali government.
More than 130 civilians have been killed in the last week and at least 30,000 people forced to flee their homes in Mogadishu. These battles have lead to Somali government loosing large sway of land to hard line Islamist.
