Feds: Mass. Man Conspired to Attack Malls (VIDEO)
WASHINGTON – Federal authorities this morning charged a Boston area man with conspiracy to provide material support to terrorists as part of a plot to “kill, kidnap, maim or injure” persons — including a U.S. national — in a foreign country.
The complaint alleges that from 2001 to 2008, Tarek Mehanna, 27, of Sudbury, Mass., and Ahmad Abousamra were central to a conspiracy that focused on fighting a jihad, or Islamist holy war overseas, possibly in Somalia.
