Bartamaha(Nairobi):-At least 8 of Hizbul Islam and Al-shabab fighters including officers have been killed after both sides exchanged gunfire around Laba-dhagah neighborhood in Hamar-jidid district in the Somali capital Mogadishu.

Reports obtaining Shabelle  say that the confrontation between the two sides came as members of Hizbul Islam had held meeting at Laba-dhagah neighborhood in Mogadishu adding that a group of fighters of Al-shabab with a vehicle and waiting Hizbul Islam’s members in the meeting around the areas opened fire to, killing 6 of Hizbul Islam fighters there.

More fighters of Hizbul Islam had reached at the scene shortly after the murdering accident happened and started gunfire to the other fighters of Al-shabab who were in the area and killed 2 of Al-shabab fighters there.

The reason of the fighting is unclear so far and the latest reports from the area indicate that there was tense situation between the two Islamist fighters of Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam.

There is no comment about the tense between the two sides from the high officials of Al-shabab and Hizbul Islam organization so far.
