TFG Appoints New Military And Police Commanders
Mogadishu — The Somali transitional cabinet have Sunday held meeting in the Somalia capital Mogadishu and appointed two new high military and police commanders for the government.
The meeting continued for hours and led by the transitional government Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharma’arke who displayed two high Somali commanders of the military and police before the cabinet ministers.
After more debate the ministers generally agreed to appoint major general Mohamed Gele Kahiye for the commander of the military and another major general Ali Mohamed Hassan Loyal known ( Madobe) for the commander of the police forces of the transitional Federal Government.
Abdi Haji Gobdon, adviser of the TFG prime minister had praised Abdi Hassan Awale Qeybdid, the former police commander of the Somali government saying that he worked more with governments of Somalia.
Mr. Haji also said that both ministers of local and security affairs of the TFG were also appointed to search the suicide blast of targeted to Shamo hotel in south Somali capital Mogadishu adding that parts of the bomber’s body was found by the government and would search by skilled experts.
The announcement of the TFG comes as there had been reports saying recently that the military and police commanders were dismissed and also by a time demonstrations against the discharge of Abdi Hassan Awale continued in parts of the capital over the past two days in Mogadishu.
