Somali praises FIFA boss

Bartamaha (Nairobi):- The President of Somali football federation Said Mahmoud Nur has termed the president of world’s football governing body, FIFA Joseph S. Blatter as the “rescuer” of Somali football which is rapidly growing in the horn of African nation.
The president said in a press conference on Wednesday that with out the constant assistance from FIFA under Batter’s leadership Somali football would have already died.
“Our precious FIFA boss allowed us to make Djibouti as our home and host international matches there, as we can not host in our homeland, so this shows that Joseph S. Blatter is committed to promoting Somali football in every where possible,” he said.
“We couldn’t reach this tangible victory with out having usual encouragement and support from Blatter” he said adding that Somali federation will build a historical monument in Blater’s remembrance.
Mean while, he praised Somali National Under 17 football squad for its victory over its Kenyan rivals during the first leg of CAF U 17 qualifying match held in Djibouti Friday.
He promised bonus for the team if they once again defeat Kenyan opponents in the return game between the two nations which is due to be held in Nairobi on April 24.
In the first round, the squad defeated Kenya by 3-1 during a hotly-contested match at the Guled Stadium in Djibouti.
