Be Cynical

 

They say my words are political

and that anyone who believes them is cynical

When the U.S. takes steps that are unilateral

Why is it always that the motives are economical

Millions are suffering and they are seen as collateral

War and peace are totally in compatible

These peoples misery and plight are unimaginable

Their lives and property irreplaceable

Their hopes and spirit unbreakable

So shouldn’t our aid to them be unconditional

Instead our motives are always Economical

This is the reason why my words are political

If these were not facts, they would be hysterical

History will ultimately determine those who are responsible

So in the meantime, I ask you to be cynical

Because what’s legal today, might tomorrow be unconstitutional
