BARTAMAHA- Somali Member of Parliament was shot dead today in the county’s capital of Mogadishu by unknown gunmen.

On Tuesday morning, Adul aziz Isaq Mursal, Somali member of Parliament was murdered in Mogadishu after he left his house and was heading to attend the national conference on security which kicked off yesterday in Mogadishu.

This lawmaker is the second that was gunned down in Mogadishu by unknown assailants in less than 48 hours.

Security agencies have cordoned off the scene of the incident and investigation is underway.

The government of Somali has deplored the brutal killing of the lawmaker and the rising assassination attacks targeting members of Somali parliament and the other senior government officials.

Following the murder of Abdul aziz, Somalia’s Islamist Al-shabab militants have claimed the responsibility of the killing of the two law makers.
