Ahlusuna rejects agreement to form new administration in Central Somalia regions
Dhusamareb (BARTAMAHA) The Ahlusuna Wal Jama armed function in Somalia rejected to accept a newly signed deal which suggested the formation of new administration for the central regions of Somalia.
The Chairperson of Ahlusuna Administrative Council, Sheikh Abdirisak Ali Mire “Ashcari” has strongly condemned the signing of the agreement which parties from Galmudug, Himan and Heeb and Ahlusuna members attended on Wednesday in Mogadishu.
“It will not become an effective agreement as it lacks the confidence of the people and the stakeholders,” Al Ashcari said during a press conference in Dhusamareb today.
He said Ahlusuna function was not part of this agreement as he insisted that the way it was done was totally illegal.

“We can not accept what will divide our people,” he said pointing out that the agreement only termed two regions of Mudug and Galgadud while the group has presence in other regions including Hiiraan.
He denied that any individual from Ahlusuna with relevance to such signature was at Villa Somalia during the signing of this controversial agreement.
On Wednesday, representatives from Galmudug, Himan and Heeb and Ahlusuna signed an agreement to form a new administration in Mudug and Galgadud, two regions in the central Somalia. The agreement was signed during an event at Villa Somalia with the presence of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Prime Minister Abdiweli Sheikh Ahmed.
It is unclear whether such agreement could be taken into practice as the biggest armed function in the central regions of Somalia opposes it.
