Bartamaha (Somnalia):- Somali pirates demand $15 million for the release of Georgian sailors from the ship’s owner – a Greek company, the company hiring sailors from Adjara told journalists.
According to their information, the owner of the vessel initially offered the pirates $75,000 and the second time – $150 000, but the pirates demand $15 million. The company believing in the previous practice suggested that the hostages will not be released for less than $ 1 million.
13 Georgian sailors, who were on the vessel under the Greek flag, were detained by Somali pirates in August.
