Somali, AU forces seize strategic towns
Somali national army backed by African Union troops had taken the control of Bulobarte,in Hiran region on Thursday.
As confirmed to Raxanteeb Online by the tenth Somali national army contingent commissioner, Colonel Mohamed Ammin Al-shabab fighters vacated Bulobarte today letting the joint Somali national army and African Union troops take the control of the town.
Bulobarte was among the remaining few strategically important military bases for Al-shabab militants in central Somalia that slipped under their control today.
Ammin stated that they are advancing to the areas in Hiran region under the control of the militants and will clear them from all Hiran region in the coming few days.
These joint troops have also seized the control of Buq-abable 90 km away from Balatweyn. Hiran’s centre without battling the militants.
